A Journey of One Thousand Miles

“Looking at the king’s mouth, an old man once said, one would think he never sucked at his mother’s breasts”. This is an African proverb which teaches us that when one has risen to a great fortune, many people would think that he has never been in poverty. Yesterday, we opened school at Vision School of Accountancy where I am pursuing Business Administration under Association for Business Executives (ABE).

Daniel performing dramaIt has been hard trying to secure for a school place since when I completed my high school in 2003. I thank god to every vision there is a provision, as the Lord has provided tuition fees through Pastor Lawrence Temfwe Jubilee Centre’s Executive Director and Father Miha Drevensek Mission Press Executive Director; because my parents can’t afford to pay as they are too old and don’t have a source of income.

Education is the leading of souls to what is best and making what is best out of them, is a profound quote. My soul is now at ease with this great privilege of hope that one day I will be called Mr. Educated. I thank you Gibson Kwale ‘the only wise man’, Chilila Kangaji ‘the only good accountant’, Matt and Polly ‘the only understanding couple’ and all the well wishers who earnestly contributed for me to be in school.

May the good Lord remember you and be smiling at you all the days of your life.
